Highway 74/76 accessible to almost every town in Columbus County. Highway 130 begins in Whiteville. Hwy 905 and Hwy 904 run from Columbus County to South Carolina.

Air: Myrtle Beach Airport is 50 miles away from Whiteville. Wilimington Airport is only 45 miles away.  Columbus County Regional Airport, runway 5,500 feet, is paved, lighted, and offeres charter service.
